“To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.” ~ Lewis B. Smedes
There is a distinction between working hard and doing the hard work in life. Many of us work hard at our lives, our relationships, our spirituality and even our personal growth and yet most are at a loss when it comes to doing the hard work. While we know that holding on to past (or current) upsets, mistakes and judgments cause a toxic state within our minds and bodies, bring up forgiveness and most people have no idea where to begin.
This course is designed to be just that beginning. A gentle, structured and supportive process, this tele-class will offer the opportunity to have a greater understanding of forgiveness and its value in your life as well as a firsthand experience of the power of forgiveness. We will explore not only the basics of forgiveness, but take on challenges and questions such as:
How to forgive the seemingly unforgivable.
What is the value in forgiveness?
What about the other person’s responsibility?
If I forgive, isn’t it saying that what they did was ok?
Participants in this course will engage in a weekly dialogue about their experience of the work as well as a daily process to build the muscles and practice of forgiveness. In doing so, participants can expect to have a more peaceful, healthy and fulfilling experience in their lives. What are you ready to be free from this year? What are you willing to do in order to have the life you desire? Let this be the year you take your life back.
“Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future.” ~ Paul Boese
